Signs It's Time to Invest in a New Water Heater Installation for Your Temple, TX Home

Of all the appliances in your Bell County home, the water heater is one of the most important. You and your family rely on it day and night, all year long, to provide you with the hot water you need for cooking, cleaning, and bathing. Because it is constantly running, a water heater experiences a lot of wear and tear, and eventually, it will have to be replaced. But how do you know when you need a new water heater installation? If you’re experiencing any of the following, it’s time to get in touch with a Temple, TX water heater repair company that specializes in installation services.

Frequent Repairs

While it’s bound to need a few repairs here and there over the course of its life, a water heater shouldn’t need repairs on a constant basis. If your Temple, TX water heater repair company is on your speed dial, and it seems like you need to call them to come back to your Bell County house almost as soon as they left, then it’s time to consider a new water heater installation.

Frequent repairs are a sign that a water heater has reached the end of its life. While a reputable Temple, TX water heater repair professional can provide short-term solutions, if the appliance is on its last legs, repairs – no matter how high-quality they may be – aren’t going to solve the problem and are like putting a bandage on an injury that needs stitches. If you need regular repairs, it’s time to consider a new water heater installation.

Leaks

Have you spotted a puddle of water underneath your hot water heater? If so, something is definitely wrong and you’re going to want to call a Temple, TX water heater repair professional. Depending on the cause of the problem, a repair may be all that’s needed to correct it; however, if the damage is so extensive, or the appliance is nearing or has exceeded its life expectancy, then a new water heater installation would be in your best interest. If the problem persists, you’ll not only continue having issues with the appliance, but the leak could end up damaging your Bell County house, too.

Foul Smelling Water

When you turn on the hot water in your Bell County home, do you notice a metallic smell? If so, that’s an indication that your water heater is breaking down and that it needs to be replaced. Consuming and using water that has a foul odor that’s linked to a damaged water heater isn’t just unpleasant; it can be hazardous to your health. Contact a reputable Temple, TX water heater repair company that also installs new appliances.

Strange Sounds

Is your water heater making unusual noises? Do you hear a crackling, sizzling, rumbling, or popping sound coming from the appliance? If so, that’s another sign it might be time to consider a new water heater installation. Those sounds could be linked to several issues; excessive sediment and mineral buildup, internal condensation, frequent and severe water pressure fluctuations, or restricted water flow somewhere in the system, such as the valves, for example.

In some cases, an experienced Temple, TX water heater repair technician may be able to correct the problem; but, if the cause and/or the damage is so severe, you’re definitely going to want to consider replacing the appliance.

Information About Temple

Temple is a city in Bell County, Texas, United States. As of 2020, the city has a population of 82,073 according to the U.S. census, and is one of the two principal cities in Bell County.

Temple was founded as a railroad town in 1881 by the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railroad. It was incorporated in 1882. The town was named after a Santa Fe Railroad official, Bernard Moore Temple. Mr. Temple was a civil engineer and former surveyor with the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway Company.

In 1882, the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad built through the town, and soon after, the Santa Fe railroad made Temple a division point. In its early years, Temple was a town of shacks and tents with a large number of saloons and tough characters found in the early West. Locally, it was nicknamed “Tanglefoot,” because some residents found that the combination of muddy streets and liquor made walking through the town challenging.

Very shortly after the town was incorporated in 1882, two private schools were founded in the city: the Temple Academy was organized and a public school was established in 1884. In 1893, the annual Temple Stag Party began, growing out of a private Thanksgiving celebration attended by some of the town’s leading men. It was held until 1923.
